The district hired Davis Communications of Lancaster to recast its public image with a modern look. A steering committee was formed to narrow down choices developed by the firm from nine to three. District administrators unanimously selected the new logo, which was approved by the board last week. The district’s old logo – a circular seal with an open book in front of Joshua tree – has been used since the 1880s, and will still be used for formal documents and on commemorative plaques.
